The Living Breakwaters Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) was formed in July 2015 and hosted a kick-off meeting on July 16, 2015. The CAC was joined by city and state agencies to discuss the progress of Living Breakwaters and Tottenville Dune Projects on Staten Island’s South Shore.
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee is a group of stakeholders assembled by the State to receive updates on the Rebuild by Design (RBD) project.This group represents both local and regional stakeholders with environmental, educational, government, business and civic backgrounds. This CAC plays an important advisory role in the planning and implementation of the Living Breakwaters and Tottenville Dune projects.
