REBUILD BY DESIGN HURRICANE SANDY DESIGN COMPETITION

In the spring of 2014, ten teams showcased their innovative proposals for a more resilient Sandy-Affected region. Seven teams were selected as winners; $930 Million in funding was awarded to city and state grantees. Rebuild by Design has showcased the work of its international design teams (The BIG Team, OMA, PennDesign/OLIN, HR&A with Cooper Robertson & Partners, Interboro Team, MIT CAU + ZUS + Urbanisten, Sasaki/Rutgers/Arup, SCAPE Landscape Architecture, WB unabridged with Yale Arcadis, and WXY/West8) around the world to promote and inspire innovative interventions to promote resilience.

The exhibition has traveled to Design Centers, Universities, and other locations. Rebuild by Design continues to look for additional locations to showcase this work. Get in touch with us if you would like to develop a program together to display this work.
