Climate Change, Disasters and the Vulnerable Communities We Serve

Targeted toward NYC faith communities of all traditions, this event will explore the role of faith communities in community resilience, and how to serve and build capacity in places of faith on the frontlines serving disinvested communities most impacted by climate disasters.

Co-sponsored with Brooklyn Borough President’s Office of Faith & Clergy Initiatives, The Chisholm Legacy Project, The Center for Earth Ethics, and the NYC Mayor’s Office for Faith Based & Community Partnerships, the summit features inspiring keynotes (including Jacqueline Patterson – The Chisholm Legacy Project and Karenna Gore – Center for Earth Ethics) and interactive panels with NYC community & faith leaders (including Erum Hanif- APNA Community Center, Tonya Gayle – Green City Force, and Amy Chester – Rebuild By Design).

It’s FREE, lunch is included, and ALL ARE WELCOME!  It will be held September 28th at Brooklyn Borough Hall from 9-3pm.
