Rebuild Hosts Interdisciplinary Group to Address Resilience in Western Puerto Rico

This month, rebuild hosted an interdisciplinary team from NYU Tandem, City University of New York (CUNY), Arizona State University, and University of Puerto Rico for the National Science Foundation effort to Enhance Resilience of Island Communities (ERIC). This three-year effort, focused on Western Puerto Rico, will highlight the impact of the interdependencies of critical infrastructure systems when exposed to weather extremes, and how those interdependencies cause failures of physical assets leading to adverse impacts on the health and socio-economic wellbeing of communities.
