As part of the current implementation of a pilot project, NYCEDC hosted an Open House for the Hunts Point Resiliency Project to update the public on this phase of work and ensure there was a chance to ask detailed questions about the projects  The initiative will install resilient and sustainable power to critical facilities at the Food Distribution Center and two local public schools. As part of the feasibility studies, flood proofing technologies that harden critical food distribution facilities in the flood plain were identified as feasible methods to protect against flooding.
