BRIDGEPORT DESIGNS RESILIENCE TRAIL

Based on input from a public meeting in June, the Resilient Bridgeport team began community outreach with one-to-one meetings for the creation of a “Resilience Trail” in the South End. Originally envisioned as a Resilience Center in a single building, the Resilience Trail concept expands the footprint of the center to the entire neighborhood. It enables the project to combine education on flood risk and climate with a tour of cultural and historical landmarks. Additionally, the team continues work on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and move into 30% design of the preferred alternatives for the coastal defense system.
